Anxiety is a feeling of nervousness or worry about something that is happening or might happen in future. Sometimes it’s triggered by our sense of not being in control. Women we are often victims of this, as we like to be in control. As soon as something is out of our control we freak out.

I like to plan ahead, and at times I even plan and prepare for the unexpected surprises that might ruin my plans. So you can imagine if amidst all my planning, something that I didn’t plan for arises and messes everything up.
Women we pride ourselves in multi tasking. We like to do a lot of things at the same time, and add to that in total perfection! Even though this is a quality it may also be fertile ground for anxiety to sprout.

Anxiety takes you out of control and puts you in a state of panic. Doctors are saying it’s not good for your health and they are just agreeing to what God said about anxiety centuries ago. In Philippians 4:6 the Bible says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

We become anxious when we feel we lack something, whether it’s time, energy, money or resources. One way to help you keep your anxiety under control is being grateful or thankful for what we have. The only way to be grateful is by slowing down and looking around you. You cannot be grateful if you don’t consider or contemplate your blessings.
So don’t forget to take your anxiety pill today by being grateful for what God has already done and dumping on Him through prayers what you can’t fix.

Please note: here I am not addressing any medical condition type of anxiety but one that comes out of our busyness and insecurities of life. You should not ignore seeking the professional help of a doctor, if at any point you are suffering from clinical anxiety.
