Jesus is reminding us that there is no need to worry about these things as life is far more important than food or clothing. He assures us that our heavenly Father is aware of all our needs and will provide.

In other words what’s the use of being well dressed but not alive, or being dead but with a full stomach filled with all the delicacies of the world? In the same way that God caters to the needs of the birds of the air, which are less valuable than us human beings, He promises us He will supply to all our needs. The birds of the air or the lilies of the field have no worry and ask for nothing as the Provider, God Himself is there to tend to all their needs.

Remember a well dressed corpse is less valuable than a ragged beggar who is alive. It is not worrying that will bring solutions to our needs but our trust in God as our sole Provider. He can provide in various ways; He might give you wisdom in managing your finances in such a way that even though you don’t earn much but you are able to pay for all your bills.

One of my girlfriend is good at looking out for specials and we call each on a weekly basis to inform each other where the deals of the weak are. through this we save hundreds of dollars in groceries and clothing as we both have big families.

Remember how God fed the Israelites in the desert for 40 years. their shoes they never wore out and they never slept in an empty stomach- in the desert! I do not know what you are currently going through, but God is able to provide fresh springs of water in your desert.

You can confidently face the economic strains knowing that He is there by our side and He will carry you through.
